British actor Mark Haldor was born in Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands and raised in Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. He graduated with a BA honours degree in graphic design then freelanced as a graphic designer working with bands, musicians & photographers creating music videos and promotional materials which first introduced him to hands on film directing and editing. When he was scouted by a model agency his early modelling career featured him on two consecutive charity calendars which received massive press coverage raising funds for ‘Save The Children’ and ‘Mind Mental Health' respectively. To realise his dream of becoming an actor, he studied at Birmingham School of acting and enrolled with LA Acting Coaches Michaeljohn Gonzalez and Anthony Meindl.

Acting Career

‘Snow White and the Huntsman‘ at Pinewood Studios with Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron before going on to feature in a range of independent and Hollywood films, TV shows, commercials and music videos as well as writing, directing and producing his own first film “Crossing Over” starring British actress Louise Jameson, (Doctor Who, EastEnders Bergerac), for which he won Film Producer of The Year and three International Achievers Award nominations in 2018. Originally intended as a short film, it wound up as a 79 mins feature comedy inspired by Extras, Spaced, Not Going Out and Toast of London. On August 5th, 2017 his film premiered to a sold out London audience at Cineworld, Canary Wharf. Mark secured support from press and 20 Vegan Sponsors and donated 100% profits to Orangutan Foundation and appeared in an abundance of magazine and local newspapers articles including appearing in Vegan Life.

In 2019 Mark wrote an exciting, ready to go, Vegan short film script.

Mark has featured in international commercials including Billy Boy condoms, on ‘Celebrity Juice’ flashing Danny Dyer and ‘Celebrity Come Dine With Me’ as Sinitta’s sexy Santa. After a chance meeting with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez on the set of ‘Fast 6’, Diesel advised Mark to write and create his own projects. As Mark was a fan of Robert Rodriguez (unrelated), having read his book ‘Rebel Without a Crew’ and taking a short industry trip to LA, Mark heeded Van Diesel's advice and returned with the intention of making a film. His film ‘Crossing Over’ streamed on Amazon Prime UK and US platforms, attracting 5 star reviews and was released on DVD in the USA, Summer 2020. Mark also created 5 time award winning short film ‘The Fetish Man’, a parody of The ‘Irishman’, which he wrote, directed and acted in. It received wins for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Costume and Best Cinematography. Most recently Mark has completed work on an experimental lockdown short film, called ‘Lockdown Lowdown: Global Glance’ which he also conceived, co-wrote, edited and acted in. Also during Isolation 2020 Mark wrote a screenplay for a feature length thriller, which is under development and production is being planned.

Personal and lifestyle

A keen health and fitness enthusiast and former competitive bodybuilder, dedicated to keeping in excellent shape Mark practices stage combat and works out twice daily at the gym. Mark is a passionate Vegan and peacefully campaigns for animal welfare. After many years of life as a non vegan and feeling worse for it, he now enjoys a balanced, healthy and disciplined Vegan lifestyle and is a sought after Vegan influencer and speaks and writes extensively on Veganism including, diet, exercise, and mental health. The number of Vegans in GB has doubled in the last 4 years and Mark is a staunch advocate of educating and helping more people become Vegan with confidence and assisting taking Veganism mainstream. Mark is therefore an ideal actor / partner / ambassador / speaker for companies seeking to promote or advertise or educate around this choice of lifestyle.

Mark's aspirations include acting in Marvel, Tarantino and Taikia Waititi directed films. Mark Ruffalo, Vin Diesel, Ricky Gervais, Gemma Chan, Maggie Q and Tessa Thompson are Actors he would love to work with one day providing of course any project he's invited to be involved with respects his strong Vegan principles.
